The Path of Empowerment: an interview with Barbara Marciniak by Connie Hill

Barbara Marciniak is the author of Bringers of the Dawn, Earth, Family of Light and her newest Path of Empowerment. She is also the editor of the quarterly journal, Pleiadian Times. The Pleiadians, or P’s as she calls them, a collective of multi-dimensional beings, have been speaking through Barbara since 1988. They have come here to assist us with the process of growing and evolving spiritually, and to encourage us to live from a position of our own truth and power.

Connie:  In Path of Empowerment the chapter, "Intimate Dance" drew me.

Barbara:  "Intimate Dance of Beliefs and Emotions" is a key chapter in the book. It lays out the idea that thoughts create reality, that thoughts are ideas and agreements about reality, and emotions are the fuel behind these ideas. If you follow your feelings you find your beliefs. If we’re dealing with the struggles, for example, the trick is to understand what's motivating us, to identify the feelings. We need to identify the feelings behind the struggles. Feelings lead to the beliefs. Another important point in stopping the struggle is learning when to say no. A person can’t be happy if they say yes when they mean no. That creates all kinds of problems.

Millions of us are working away to unravel what keeps us from being fluid creators. I mean to honor the body and your own duty to yourself - it's so important.

Connie:  Do you find the line between being selfish and of service is difficult to find?

Barbara:  I’m real clear on that. I'm an Aries rising and I've always been clear about not letting people step on my toes. I deal with things as they come up. If something feels right to me, I do it, if it doesn't, I don't. My job is to model clarity so people can see. I’m not a hundred percent, but I do my best to remember that I'm a teacher. I work to be accountable, responsible and to operate with integrity.

Connie: Some important political and religious leaders are being caught abusing their power.

Barbara:  You can't escape power and you’re always going to be tested on it. That test involves power over others or empowering others. That's a choice. When we realize we are privy to power the next step is what we do with it. Everyone's got to face that test at one time or another. Of course, when you control others that's what you are going to create and that circle is going to come back around.

Having stopped watching TV over thirty years ago was probably one of the best moves in my life. No one told me to do it. I didn't know anything about mind manipulation. It just didn't feel right to me. I stopped because I felt it was doing something to my mind. Now, studies show that people who watch lots of TV have problems. When we watch TV our brain goes into delta state which is a very psychic, sleep state, the most programmable state of the conscious mind. So, when we’re watching TV, no matter the subject, we are in a highly programmable state. People volunteer for this every day. No one has to knock on the door and take us over. People just automatically, by their own choice, flip that TV on and then select their own programming.

Connie:  Isn't working with computers the kind of same thing?

Barbara:  Yes, and the P's say the antidote is to spend equal amounts of time in nature. Nature balances the brain waves. If I spend a long day at the computer I spend the next day in the garden or cooking. It's the sounds, sights and scents of nature that bring about hemispheric balance. When we have hemispheric balance it resets the programming state and we can make more conscious decisions.

Connie:  Can you talk about how the feelings of shame damage your body by acting like unseen termites.

Barbara:  The P's say shame weakens your energetic field by vibration. When you have a weaker energetic field you're not able to have confidence or boundaries,  which are essential for us to work, live and have a family. That is one of our mass agreements: we take on a body, come into a family, build society and learned the values and virtues of life, and what strengthens and weakens us. With shame we can’t be fully present. When were not fully present something else can take us over.  And yet, Connie, all of this is a lot of work! There’s not one person on the planet who isn’t working on it or we wouldn’t be here. I think that the spiritual awakening happening on the planet is so important. We’re more than we thought we were, we can create our own reality. We’re seeing the collapse of a way of life. On the other hand, millions of people are working diligently to re-seed the mass consciousness with a sense of dignity, worthiness and a new sense of values, especially when it comes to life, children, food and the environment.

Connie:  What about restless energy. The books says, “Restless energy can be a symbol of times of change.”

Barbara:  Think about what you see in nature. The seasons change and you see the restlessness of the earth. Each season the planet wears a new costume. This restlessness shows itself as people trying to jam in as much as they can before something happens.

In the book the P’s talk about the 25 years of change. Everything begins to go faster and faster and at times like these our job is too slow down and ask ourselves “what do I want to do?” and then set intentions for what we want to accomplish each day.

Connie:  Thank you, Barbara.
